I was so Lucky this Holiday season to have my youngest son Steven and daughter in law Julia here from Los Angeles. Julia’s mother, Jackie came a couple of days after Christmas from Wisconsin, such a nice treat. Speaking of Treats we had the opportunity to have Christmas Tea at the Brown Palace Hotel. When the Hotel is “dressed” for Christmas it is Spectacular!
It is a lovey holiday tradition. I make it a special point to get there during the season at least once.
Every year in December for the Christmas Holiday I have a very special Card Class. We have a class where we make eight cards, and then I hold a Christmas Tea for all of the participants. Instead of paying for the class I ask the participants to spend their money on toys and gifts for children. We then donate all of the gifts to a local church, Sacred Heart, whose congregation is often in need of assistance, for their Christmas Party. I generally have an SUV full, full, full of gifts for the church.
Yes, we wear hats and have a bit of fun. I have collected Tea paraphernalia, and hats, for many years and could easily serve 50 guests for Tea at my house!
There is the pretty Cardinal Christmas Card, using the Toile Christmas Bundle. The frame is the Mercury Glass Designer Acetate.
This is the first time I used the Toile Christmas Stamp Set. I have also been looking forward to using the Mercury Glass Designer Acetate. With this card I get to do both!
The dies cut like butter. I stamped the Cardinal in Real Red and used Sahara Sand for the Branch. I then used my blend markers to color in the detail.
I awoke to this beautiful landscape. One of the things people say in Colorado is, “If you don’t like the weather here, just wait 15 minutes”. The whole scene changed by the afternoon as temperatures hit 60 degrees and near 70 degrees by the next day.
This is the information on the ‘Christmastime Is Here Suite’:
Items in the ‘Christmastime Is Here Suite’ will be available for purchase during the month of November while supplies last. This suite features the beautiful Christmas Rose Stamp Set and Die Set. Also included in this suite is the foiled, beautiful Designer Series Paper featuring the Christmas Rose, gold enamel embellishments, ribbon and a rose bracelet.
One of the stamp sets is Red Rubber; the second is Photopolymer. This feature allows stamping color to the visible outline image, with the photopolymer stamps, or one could also easily color the images with blends and markers. Following are more images of the individual Components of this amazing Suite.
Did I say how beautiful the paper is in this suite? Not only is it beautiful but the dies cut out the rose image in the paper! There are so many possibilities and choices with this beautiful suite. You will not want to miss out on this one.
