The cards proposed for this months Paper Pumpkin were really pretty good. But as you know, I never use their suggestions. I really do like making the alternative projects and I always make full size cards. This month I made 6 cards and I used one of the designs for my teams SWAPS for January, very fun!
In addition to the Kit Materials I used: A
All cards are A2 8 ½” by 5 ½” scored and folded at 4 ¼”
This is such a cute project. The idea came from Ann Melvin in the UK, she goes by the name Positively Papercraft and makes quite a few 3 D projects. I am a big fan, she is incredibly talented. These are gift card, money or check holders. The are quick to make and sure to get the attention of anyone receiving a gift in one of these little purses. For my craft show season the gift card holders especially those that are a bit different do pretty well. So I have vowed this year to come up with at least a dozen different designs that I haven’t seen out there. This is my first
Measurements and Supplies for Todays 3D purse Gift Card Holder:
I used an Basic White piece 6” by 4 ½”, scored and folded at 3”
I used either Gold or Silver Foil 2 pieces 1 piece 7” by ½” for the handle, a second piece ½” by 5” for the mechanism inside the purse to secure your gift, a third piece a small piece 1″ by 2″ scored and folded at 1″ for the purse tab
Also a small piece of scrap to cut a small circle for the purse closure in gold or silver
