Well, I received my April Paper Pumpkin Box just as I was finishing the ones from March! I didn’t care much for the dark look of these Cards. Although, I did see some alternatives that were great, particularly those of Kathy Howes (be creative with Kathy). If you get a chance you should check out her You Tube channel.
I was very happy with my final group of alternatives. They were much brighter and I think more practical to use.

In addition to the Kit Supplies, I used Basic White Card Bases 8 ½” by 5 ½”, Scored and folded at 4 ¼” and a layering piece of Coastal Cabana 4” by 5 ¼”

I just love the way this card turned out. I embossed the DSP and then dragged the White Craft Ink across the embossing. This process enhanced the embossed detail, I love the effect. Don’t you think this will make a beautiful Christmas Card? This paper is just so pretty and the result could easily work for a masculine card.
Here is a look at the inside of the card. This paper can be over stamped with the Craft White or the Shaded Spruce Ink.

I used A Basic White Card Base 8 ½” by 5 ½”, Scored and folded at 4 ¼”, and 1 piece 3 ¾” by 5” and a piece of scrap for the sentiment.
Two pieces of Shaded Spruce 4” by 5 ¼ and a piece 3 1/8” by 1 ¼” to back the sentiment
Pretty Prints DSP 1 piece 3 ¾” by 5” for the front of the card; a piece 1” by 5” for the inside of the card; and a Piece 1 1/8” by 3” to mat the sentiment

This months Paper Pumpkin kit may be the best one ever. The variety of material available for this kit is simply amazing. When I made these alternatives, and there were seven, I didn’t use a bunch of the material. So, I have committed to making a second video with at least 5 more alternative cards. That one will follow this one and be published on the 19th of April. On that video I will include a picture of each of the cards both inside and out.
