Thanks Card – lst in a Series

This is the first in a series, showing how to use the soft Pastel Assortment, chalks, from Stampin’ Up! this technique is using just a dab of Water added to the chalk dust, with which to paint your images.  Lots of fun, and you can get lighter or darker images depending on how much you color and re-color the image.  There are so many ways to use the pastels that I will have two more videos coming with additional material.

I think this would make a lovely set of thank you cards to use as a gift for someone.  Start now, make all of the colors in the Pastel assortment and have a few cards for gifts for the Holidays. If you are like me I need a lot of time to organize those kinds of projects.

Following are the Measurements and Supplies for today’s painting with chalk

  • I used a Basic White Cardstock for my Card Base – 8 ½” by 5 ½”, scored ad folded at 4 ¼”
  • Then two Poppy Parade pieces 4” by 5 ¼” for layering on the inside and the outside and one piece 3 ¼” by 3 ¼” and for the sentiment 1 piece 2”: by 7/8”
  • Two Pieces of Basic Black 3 7/8” by 5 1/8” for layering on the inside and the outside and 1 piece of Basic Black 3 1/8” by 3 1/8”
