So Thankful For You Fall Card

This card was my November SWAP card for my team.  I still need so many thank you cards for all of the wonderful people who have been supporting me.  This one expresses my thankfulness for my team, they have been awesome!  They jumped right in and supported one another continued hosting our team meetings and SWAPS.  I would like to especially thank my team Leader Wanda Williams, Lindsey McCune and Lucinda Veeck Gosden.  These people are special treasures in my life.

This little fall card is very fussy.  There are many die cuts including the wreaths the pumpkin and all of the pumpkin leaves.  It is not difficult, but there are lots of parts and pieces.  The self adhesive Artistry Blooms sequins in this ‘orangy’ color are the perfect offset for this design.

Here is a peek at the inside of the card.  So, yes, I did die cut the wreaths in four colors!

Here are the measurements and supplies for Today’s ‘So Thankful For You Fall Card

  • I used a Very Vanilla Card Base 8 ½” by 5 ½” , scored and folded at 4 ¼”
  • Then two pieces of So Saffron 4” by 5 ¼”
  • Also two pieces of designer series paper from Blackberry Beauty, a piece 2 1/2″ by 5 1/4″ for the front and a piece 5 1/4″ by 1/2″ for the inside of the card
  • Finally, Scraps approximately 3 ½” Square in Pumpkin Pie, Soft Suede, Mossy Meadow, and Crushed Curry for cutting the wreaths and the leaves

Tidings of Christmas Card

I love the ribbon surprise on this card, it makes it so festive.  This design also allows making many cards using only a few pieces of DSP.  This is one that could be mass produced easily.  I love the color combination of Evening Evergreen and Cherry Cobbler.  A fee Evening Evergreen Rhinestones set off and finish the card.

This is a look at the outside and the inside of the card.  You could bring a touch more of the Cherry Cobbler by adding a few leaves and berries. Another sentiment on the inside might also be added.

Here are the measurements and supplies for Today’s Tidings of Christmas Card

  • I used a Basic White Card Base 8 ½” by 5 ½” , scored and folded at 4 ¼”
  • Then a piece of Evening Evergreen 4” by 5 ¼”
  • Next is a piece of Tidings of Christmas Designer Series paper for the front of the card cut at 3 ¾” by 5”, and 1 piece for the inside cut ½” by 5 ¼”
  • I used a 3 ¼” by 2 ½” piece of Soft Succulent Shimmer Vellum
  • 1 piece of Soft Succulent cardstock 4” by 5 ¼” for the inside of the card
  • Then I used Scraps of Cherry Cobbler, Evening Evergreen Shimmer Vellum and Evening Evergreen cardstock to cut my leaves.

Grateful

Hello,

This post is my first since being back since my husband Barry’s passing.  It is for you, I am so grateful for the outpouring of love and support from all of you.  It is palpable, I feel it and it is so comforting, thank you!  This crafting and card making community is incredible.  We are all lucky to belong to such a supportive proactive group of people.

I think this is the first time I am using this beautiful suite, Blackberry Beauty, and what a beauty it is.  This card is very simple and the paper is stunning.  I think it “carries” the card.  The gold accents pick up the foiling in the paper and adds a touch of elegance.  I left is plain and simple on purpose, sometimes less is more.

Here are the measurements and supplies for Today’s Forever Grateful Card:

I used a Blackberry Bliss Card Base 8 ½” by 5 ½” , scored and folded at 4 ¼”.  Next is a piece of Blackberry Beauty Specialty Designer Series paper for the front of the card cut at 3” by 5 ½”, and 1 piece for the inside cut ½” by 4”.  Then i used 2 pieces of Gold Foil paper ½” by 5 ½ ” for the front of the card, 1 piece cut 1” by 2 ¼” to mat the sentiment, and 1 piece 4” by ½” for the inside of the card.  Lastly, inside,  I used a piece of Very Vanilla 4” by 4 ¾”.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today, love you all!

Fun Fold Christmas Card from SWAPS

What a fun card!  I have had a great number of people requesting the instructions for making Elizabeth McConner’s cute fund fold butterfly card.  Well, here it is! I made my version a Christmas Card.  The first view shows the cards standing the second view as folded and ready for an envelope.  I decorated all four of the little diamond squares, leaving one of them without the DSP so I could sign the card and add a few words.

This design is so clever, and you can get two cards out of a standard piece of paper.   This next view show the front of the card and second view shows the back of the card that I made.

The Inspiration card is by Elizabeth McConner who says she saw the card on Pinterest originally.  Elizabeth is a newer member of my team, from Nevada City, California, Great Job Elizabeth!!  You can reach Elizabeth at [email protected]

Here is the diagram of the scoring and folding of the card I promised.

Here is my card for the Blog Hop. I used the Ephemera pack for the Blackberry Beauty Suite.  This card is meant for the Holidays, it could be for Christmas, Thanksgiving, fall birthday, or just happy fall.  I changed the design just a bit from my prototype to the card I made for todays post. I changed the focal image from the Oak leaves to the Owl in Flight.  I think the Be Dazzling paper makes this one special.

Here is the front of the card, the sentiment on this card is higher on the card front to accommodate the flying Owl.  I did add some gold Holly Leaves to the greeting.  Here are the measurements for this card:

  • I used a Blackberry Bliss Card Base 8 ½” by 5 ½” , scored and folded at 4 ¼”
  • There is One Piece of Be Dazzled paper for the front of the card cut at 3 ¾” by 5 ½”
  • One Piece of Basic White cut at 4” by 5 ¼” for the inside of the card
  • And pieces from the Blackberry Beauty Ephemera Pack

Here is the inside of the card.  I used the sentiments from “Christmas to Remember” a new Cling Stamp set in the July to December Catalog.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you get a chance to look at the work of the other members of my team, they are exceptional stampers!.
