I just love this card! It is so simple and yet very striking. I think it is the element of so much contrast that makes this one special. This is the card that was inspired by a card sent to a colleague. I am still waiting to get her name so that I can give her credit. On her card the first and second card stock panels were the same size as my smaller one on this card. I just thought it would be more interesting to get the idea of an extra layer, and hide more of the written message. This boughs of Holly paper just keeps on giving I have yet to put together a card that I am not thrilled with. This is an easy one to make a few cards for Christmas quickly.

I just love cards with fall leaves. They are so much fun to make and often very pretty. This one was made using two different background techniques. On the first version for a background I used a splatter stamp in soft suede to add some texture. On the second one I used the Painted Texture embossing folder and then used a dauber to highlight the raised detail of the embossing folder. I like both, but think I prefer the embossing folder background.

This is pretty and simple Christmas Card, there are however quite a few layers that adds to it’s richness. You could eliminate a layer for mailing if you choose to. This suite of Papers Boughs of Holly is just wonderful I have used so many different patterns from this set.
This paper is cut 3″ by 4″ which means that you can get quite a few pieces from the two papers in the package for quick and economical Card making.

One of my associates brought some things to my house recently is an almost clear bag. Well of course Puccini was interested in the bag, so we put it down on the floor for him. It has been several weeks now and he has not tired of playing with and in the bag. He thinks you can’t see him. We did have to cut off the handles because the first thing he did was stick his head in them.
He can entertain himself endlessly with this bag. He even brought it from the lower level of the house upstairs!
This is a quick fun fall project. I also think these would make great gift tags to tie to packages for Christmas with a To:, From: tag for the front pocket with a chocolate or some other Holiday goody on the other side. This is by no means a new item these little gift packets have been around for a long time, I just had not seen any for some time.
For Halloween they can be special little gifts for family and neighborhood children, filled of course with candy, not tea.
