I just love cards with fall leaves. They are so much fun to make and often very pretty. This one was made using two different background techniques. On the first version for a background I used a splatter stamp in soft suede to add some texture. On the second one I used the Painted Texture embossing folder and then used a dauber to highlight the raised detail of the embossing folder. I like both, but think I prefer the embossing folder background.
Here are the Measurements and Supplies for today’s Fall Thinking of You Card:
- The Card Base is Mossy Meadow, 8 ½” by 5 ½” scored and folded at 4 ¼”
- Next is a layer of Sahara Sand 3 ¾” by 5” run through the ‘Painted Texture Embossing Folder’
- Then another piece of Sahara Sand 4 by 5 ¼” for layering on the inside
- Evening Evergreen DSP from the Texture Chic paper and the Distressed Gold Specialty paper were used to die cut the leaves from the Chic dies and the Aspen leaves were cut from pieces of Basic White and colored with daubers and ink
