This Candles and Poinsettia Card gives the illusion of looking at the candles in a mirror.
I used a Whisper White card base measuring 8 ½ “ by 5 ½ “, scored and folded at 4 ¼”. I used more Whisper white cut at 4 by 5 ¼ “ for layering on the inside of the card, plus 2 pieces of scrap to cut the candle image and cut the oval frame. I used 1 piece of Real Red 4 1/8 “ by 5 3/8 “ for layering inside. I also used piece of Silver Foil to cut the mirror oval and a small scrap of yellow vellum for the candle flame reflection in the “mirror”.
This card used Smoky Slate, Pineapple Punch for the flame and Real Red. The Stamp Sets I used were Gods Peace and Toile Christmas. I also used the Heirloom dies and Embossing Folder for the large oval. I used light and dark Real Red Blends along with Dark Old Olive. I also used Regular markers in Smoky Slate, Mango Melody and Real Red, Rhinestones
This is one of the cards that is more White on White with a spark of color for this Holiday Season.
Here is the next (fourth) Christmas Card in the series for 2019.
The Beautiful all Silver card features using the ‘Subtle’s’ Embossing Folder on Silver Foil card stock.
Here are the Measurements and products for this beautiful shimmery card.
I used a Whisper White card base, cut to 8 1/2″ by 5 1/2″, scored and folded at 4 1/4″
The first layer is a piece of Silver Foil card stock cut to 4″ by 5 1/4″
I ran this through the ‘Subtle’s’ embossing folder
I used the third largest die from the Stitched Rectangle die set the to cut the frame
I placed a Whisper White piece (at least 2 1/4″ by 4″), and the small piece of DSP from ‘Feels Like Frost’ (at least 2 1/2″ by 3″), together and die cut them with the fourth largest of the Stitched Rectangle die set. This creates your focal point.
You then add a piece of the white silver edged ribbon to hide the seam and place a knot bow on top with a glue dot.
Your Season’s Greeting sentiment can be stamped in Basic Grey or embossed in Silver Embossing Powder
This one is fun because there is no stamping! The Ribbon carries the message on the outside and the inside.
Following are the products and Measurements for this Perfectly Plaid Christmas Card.
The card stock I used is Night of Navy for the Card Base 8“ by 4 ¼ “, scored and folded at 5 ½ “. There are 2 Layering Pieces 4″ by 5 ¼ “ in Shaded Spruce and 1 Layering Piece 3 ¾ ” by 5” in Very Vanilla. Use Strips of Designer Series Paper from the Perfectly Plaid paper pack, 2” by 6”, to cut the trees. Other supplies used; Vanilla and Copper, ½ “ Classic Weave Ribbon #150394 and Red Rhinestones Basic Jewels #146924.
