I just love things framed and this card gave me a way to make frames that reveal flowers on the inside of the card, great fun. Because you can see through the card you may want to add a plain panel to the back of this one on which to write your personal message. I love the combination of Pale Papaya and Evening Evergreen. These “in-colors” are some of my favorites
Measurements and Supplies for todays, Natures Harvest Healing Thoughts Card:
The Card Base is Pale Papaya 8 ½” by 5 ½”, scored 4 ¼”
I used:
• 1 piece of Heart & Home DSP cut 5” by 3 ¾”
• 1 piece of Basic White 4” by 5 ¼”, plus enough scrap to stamp and cut the flower and the sentiment
• 1 piece of Evening Evergreen 4” by 5 ¼”
This card was so much fun, it can be made four different ways using the same two or three pieces of Paper. I saw this design on Patty Bennet’s blog and new I had to make my version of it. I made this a Card Class Project and darned if they didn’t come up with another way to fold this one. If you have lots of left over DSP this is a great way to make a bunch of cards quite simple with stunning results. It makes a four, three, and two panel design as well as a single or double pocket card. What a great design. I know that my Cards class folks had a great time with this one, and I may try to come up with a design for Christmas this next year using this idea.
Measurements and Supplies for todays, Fun Fold Birthday Card Made 4 Ways
The Card Base is Old Olive 4 ¼” by 5 ½”, any complimentary Card color to match your DSP will work
I used:
• 1 piece of DSP cut 5 ¼” by 11 ¾”, mind the orientation of your pattern when cutting this paper
• 1 piece of Basic White cut a ‘tick’ under 3” by 5”
Sometimes a stamp set just cries out for a monochromatic color scheme and this Calming Camelia Set did just that. Using the Stamp set in combination with the blending brush gives this a feel of Vintage Designer Paper; I just love the way it came out. In the end this is quite a simple card to make and uses minimal supplies.
Measurements and Supplies for today’s card:
The Card Base is Pool Party 11” by 4 ¼”, scored and folded at 5 ½” I used 4 pieces of Basic White, 1 piece, 4” by 5 ¼”, 2 pieces 3 ¾” by 5” and a piece of scrap for the sentiment
