I love the simplicity of this card and the one with the larger white border around the flowers is definitely my favorite. Sometimes less is more.
Measurements and Supplies for todays, Flowering Fields Birthday Card
A Basic White Card Base 8 ½” by 5 ½”, scored and folded at 4 ¼”, 2 pieces 3 ¾” by 5”, and a small piece of white ¾” by 2 ¼” for the sentiment.
Poppy Parade, 2 pieces 4” by 5 ¼”, and a piece 1” by 2 ¾” to back the sentiment
I used the Flowering Fields DSP a piece of the polka dot paper 3 ¼” square and a piece of the Large tulip paper 2 ¾” Square for the focal piece and a strip 1/2” by 5” for the inside
I loved the soft colors in this kit, and each card base gave you three possible patterns to use. I used my Heart Punch Pack with the scalloped edge one of the hearts to help with these designs. I just love when there is lots of material on which to use my imagination. I love the challenge of these kits, figuring out what else to make.
Measurements and Supplies for todays, January 2022 Paper Pumpkin Alternatives
In addition to the kit supplies, I used Very Vanilla, Basic White, and Blushing Bride Cardstock. I also used the heart scalloped punch.
These two projects are a little different. I thought I would share the Post It Notes Projects that I make all year long and keep on hand in my gift cabinet. It is so handy to have a little something to take to someone or take as a hostess gift, I just love them and there are so many choices. They are a great way to use up DSP scraps and anytime I cut extras from a die for a card design. I also sell these at craft fairs at Christmas time.
The DSP Project is also something I make quite often. Many times the stamp set using similar colors as the matching DSP gives inspiration to this kind of Project. Especially if you hold card classes; you often need a bit more paper of one design or another than comes in a packet. It is a simple solution and sometimes I have the card class participants make the paper so they can repeat the process as home. It can be a fun project and a different way to use your supplies.
