My Goal for this Pretty Get Well Card was to have realistic looking tulips. I am quite happy with the result. The card is a little ‘fiddley’ because of the burnishing to give the tulips that realistic look. I used the back of my pokey tool to add dimension to the petals. You could easily use a ball tool to get the same look. There is quite a lot of fussy cutting for the stems and leaves, however, I think it is worth the effort.
I used Granny Apple Green for the Card Base, 8 ½” by 5 ½“ scored and folded at 4 ¼“, 2 pieces of Whisper White 4” by 5 ¼ “, plus a large piece of scrap for the flowers leaves and stems. The striped paper is from the Golden Honey Specialty DSP, black and white stripes and is cut 2 ¼” by 4”. There is also a tulip on the inside with a small scrap of the black and white paper.
This is another in my series, Fast and Beautiful. The Designer Series paper on this one makes the card. This simple and easy design uses the Braided Border Punch which is part of the Beautifully Braided Bundle in the 2020 Mini Catalog.
The Designer Series paper and a few splatters on the inside to match the DSP completes this easy card. I used a Whisper White Card Base, 8 ½” by 5 ½“ scored and folded at 4 ¼“. There are 2 layering pieces 3 ¾“ by 5” utilized, plus a piece of Whisper White Scrap for your sentiment. There are 2 layering pieces of Highland Heather, cut at 4” by 5 ¼“, plus a bit of scrap for braided border. Lastly i used a piece of the beautiful Peaceful Poppies DSP 3 ¾” by 5” for the front of the card.
This is another stamp set I could hardly wait to get my hands on. I think this card has a definite Art Deco feel.
The stamping over the inked image with Versa Mark and Gold Embossing Powder sets this card apart. I also used gold embossing powder on the strip of Gold Foil, for a more unique look. I love the Art Deco feel of this card and the soft yellow sponging, or brushing and simple message, adds the finishing touches to this one.
The Granny Apple Card Base is 8 ½” by 5 ½“ scored and folded at 4 ¼“. The Soft Suede layering piece is 4″ by 5 ¼ “, and the 2 pieces of Whisper White are 4” by 5 ¼ “ and 3 ¾ “ by 5”.
