This was my last Christmas Card of the Season, and I love the way it came out. I set it up on the Stamparatus so if you had to do several of these it would be an easy task. The embossed ornaments were easy also because you could use a punch once you had your foil prepped. So, fast easy and pretty. Coloring in the Holly Berries with Real Red added that bit of Color Punch I was looking for.
Measurements for today’s Simple Last Minute Christmas Card:
I used a Whisper White Card Base 8 ½” by 5 ½” , scored and folded at 4 ¼”,
plus one piece 3 ½” Square
Then 2 pieces of Whisper White 4” by 5 ¼”
and finally 1 Piece of Red Foil 4” by 4”
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you had a very Happy Holiday and are looking forward to a great 2021!
The long awaited arrival of the Mini Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine is here. The Machine will be orderable beginning on January 5, 2021. I can’t believe it, it’s almost 2021.
This little machine is durable. It has a solid steel construction frame that grips your work surface. The Platform folds up for space saving storage. It is portable at 2.7 lbs., with the light weight and a handle at the top.
Its cut surface will fit many dies, the platform is 3 1/2″ wide. Everything you need to get started is included with the machine. The price point is great at $60.
I have already been using mine and it is going to give me more space on my table, I love the smaller profile.
I always try each year to do a project or two making my own DSP. This Christmas card is one of those projects, and I am thrilled with the result. Traditional Christmas Colors are my absolute favorites. The shades of blue with silver are a close second. In the end I do gravitate to the more traditional colors. This project gave me the opportunity to do just that. Don’t you just love the sentiment label shapes in Hippo and Friends, they are all so beautiful. I also found an excuse to use the Metallic Mesh Ribbon again, LOL.
Measurements for today’s Make Your Own DSP Christmas Card:
I used a whole sheet of Whisper White Cardstock 8″ x 11″, to make my own designer series paper
then cut to make at least 4 cards
You will then need additional Whisper White for the sentiment and to stamp the additional berries and leaves for the embellishments
Real Red Cardstock cut 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″
I also used some Silver Foil paper to die cut the backing for my sentiment
Thank you so much for checking in. Please let me know if you have questions.
Boy oh boy, was this one fun to work with. Stampin’ Up!’s Christmas Tag Kits are always special. This one was no exception with all of the supplies I am able to make tags and many, many alternative Christmas Cards. I think in the end I will get at least 30 Cards and lots of tags. I especially love the traditional themes, colors and the beautiful tag papers. The Tags product kit and stamp set are sold separately. Together with all you can do with this kit it is affordable.
Christmas Cards and Tags Kit on page 5 of the Holiday catalog:
I used the kit material as well as the following cardstock along with a few rhinestones and a bit of ribbon.
This Kit was a struggle for me. But, I managed to come up with 5 cards. Looking back I think they could all have been better with a few more complimentary color layers.
Materials: Jolly Gingerbread November 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit
In addition to the kit supplies I used Very Vanilla, Calypso Coral and Cinnamon Cider Cardstock, and inks.
